John Pence graduated from Morehead State University with a bachelor's degree in 1977, with majors in English and Political Science, and received a law degree (J.D.) from the University of Kentucky in 1980. Mr. Pence served as legal counsel at the Kentucky Division of Securities from 1981-84, and as a staff attorney at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission from 1984-85. Mr. Pence practiced law in Frankfort, Kentucky, from 1985-88, and in Cincinnati, Ohio, from 1988-2002. While practicing law in Cincinnati, Mr. Pence dedicated numerous hours of pro bono service to AiG, and from 1999-2002, served on AiG's board of directors. In 2002, Mr. Pence joined the AiG staff as General Counsel, Director of Planned Giving Services. He also serves as Corporate Secretary and General Counsel to the board.
Tiffany Winkler graduated from Morehead State University in 2003 with a Bachelor degree in Paralegal Studies. Tiffany joined the staff at Answers in Genesis in May, 2007 as a Legal Assistant for John Pence. Tiffany and her husband have two daughters and serve as youth leaders at their church in Cincinnati, Ohio.
John Sheaffer joined Answers in Genesis in 2015 after 30 years of pastoral ministry. His last 10 years of ministry included serving part-time as an associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church (Covington, KY) while working full-time as a mortgage originator with Fifth Third Bank. In June 2018, John became the Director of AiG's Advancement Department. Mr. Sheaffer's combination of ministry and marketplace experience fit perfectly for leading this department. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute.
John and his wife have five children and four grandchildren. He continues to teach a class of 75 adults at Calvary Baptist Church.
